This review of the Pearson 323 was published in 1976. While fundamentally accurate, it appears to be charitable to Pearson and current boat reviews are charitable to contemporary builders. Then as now, the editorial and advertising sides of these periodicals are not so far distant from each other as they would like you to believe.
Regardless, this is an interesting review of the boat from the time of its introduction. It seems that the 323's qualities that charmed the reviewer then are still charming its owners today.
