Pearson Links

Although no new sailing Pearsons are being built, there's no lack of information available. Opens a new browser window.

PearsonInfo.net - This is the place to start when you want to find out about Pearson Yachts. You can learn something about every Pearson model ever built here. Dan Pfeiffer has owned a couple of Pearsons and maintains a lot of information about boat maintenance and improvement projects. It's a great resource for all Pearson owners.

SailNet Pearson 323 ftp site - Repository of 323 information in no particular format. At last look, the original 323 manual and a number of pictures were posted there.

SailNet Pearson List - The original Sailnet Pearson e-mail list.

Yahoo! Groups Pearson site - A recently formed free e-mail list that is an attempt to replace the now fee-based SailJazz list.

Pearson 365/367 site - Richard Boren's P-365/367 site.

SailJazz Pearson - The community founded by Sam and Cheryl Boyle after they left Sailnet.

NPYOA - The National Pearson Yacht Owners Assn.

Pearson Sailing Association of the Chesapeake Bay - Volumes of Pearson information and a good resource for anyone cruising the Tidewater.

Peter O. Allen's Wanderer site

Another Wanderer Site from Peter O. Allen

Alan Ascare's "Ghost"

Pearson31.com- The P31 was skewed a bit more toward racing, with its running backstay and racy shape. But the cruiser wasn't left out either. This is a good resource and the host has a good, sarcastic sense of humor.

Pearson35.com - A comprehensive site for owners of the Pearson 35, one of the most popular boats Pearson built. Harris has developed a very friendly look that is easy to navigate. If this site looks like his, that's not an accident.

Pearson422.com - Lots of pictures of the boat and comprehensive links. The 422 is one of only three or four center-cockpit models ever built by Pearson. Center-cockpit boats can look gawky and out of proportion. The 422 bucks that trend with a balanced profile and attractive detail.

Pearson424.org - Comprehensive site on the P424. Simple to navigate with good information and links. The 424, built between 1977 and 1983 has an aft cockpit and spawned the center-cockpit 422 in the 80's.

PearsonVanguard.org - The Vanguard was one of the earliest Pearsons, and one of a handful that were not designed by Bill Shaw. Almost more information than you can use about this Phillip Rhodes design.

National Triton Association - Another early, non-Shaw design. Carl Alberg designed this boat that was popular on both US coasts. Something that cannot be said for all other Pearsons. Tons of maintenance information all in one place.

Pearson Renegade - One of the first Bill Shaw designed Pearsons that pioneered the fin keel/spade rudder combination. The site contains interesting history on this early-60s vintage boat.

Captain Ron - He owns a Pearson 28 and has great owner feedback on everything from the Pearson Petrel to the Pearson 43. He even has drawings on the Pearson 530. Great links too.

Alberg35.org - One of the classic Alberg designs was built by Pearson. This site contains details of this wonderful boat and lots of project information.

General Sailing Links

Good Old Boat - A great resource for any classic boat owner. Great articles along with vendor connections and maintenance information to help us all keep on sailing our classic plastic, or wood.

BoatUS - Although they sold their retail arm to a big marine retail chain, BoatUS is an important advocacy group for all boaters.

NOSA - This is the governing board for the Newport Beach, CA to Ensenada, Mexico boat race, the largest international boat race in the world (according to them). The 57th running of the race happens in April 2004.

YachtWorld.com - If you want to look at pictures and descriptions of lots of boats, this is a good place to shop around. Most of the boats are offered through brokers.

Sailing Anarchy - "Where the status quo blows." What more can I say?

Ericson Independence 31 - This boat doesn't look like any Pearson ever built, but you have to check out the tips section. There's a bunch of good information for any boat owner here. The E31 probably has something to do with the reason Pacific Seacraft bought Ericson.
