Response to question about opening ports:

Ron and Marisa Connor were looking for information on "weatherstripping" for their plastic opening port. I'm not sure, but I believe that their "weatherstrip" is actually the edge gasket from the remains of a windowscreen.

I believe the P-323's OEM ports were made by Beckson:

Their Newport series, size 414, looks to be a close, if not exact, match for the opening port in the head/shower.

This page shows an exploded view:

Its also possible that earlier ports were made by Gray instead of Beckson.  Gray's are now being manufactured by Bomar:

Again, the 414 series look to be the closest match.

Gaskets & screens are available too:

My port (which is from the same year as Ron & Marisa's) uses the knobs instead of the cams.

On a different note, I've recently joined the Pearson Sailing Association of the Chesapeake Bay, and I've found that P323s are woefully under-represented.  We're having our annual membership drive right now, and I was wondering if you could post an announcement on pearson323.net. The assoc. is very casual, with the main activities being the annual meeting & brunch in March, monthly rendezvous weekend raftups all summer, an Annapolis Boat Show party in the fall, and a Christmas party in December.  Annual dues are only $25; cheaper than dinner and a movie! ;)  Information and an application form are available on their website:
